BENRO C-358M8 Carbon Tripod Reviews
2 of 3 people found the following review helpful Great tripod, even greater savings, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: BENRO C-358M8 Carbon Tripod (Electronics) I was looking at middle of the road tripods but saw this on Amazon for the same price as a cheap one so jumped on it. Am I going to dwell on it being a very good copy of a famous Italian unit or be grateful I got a high end CF tripod for the price of a lesser aluminium version? Yep, more than happy with my purchase! Matched to my Manfrotto grip head it's a killer combo.I can't comment on some of the features like it's dust seals yet but will update when I test it more aggressively. Btw, this reached Sydney in under 4 days and just in time for a product shoot so that was an added bonus, thanks Amazon! My Sony A900 with various Zeiss glass is quite a heavy combo but the BENRO C-358M8 is rock solid and my shots have never been sharper. Saving approximately $400AUD was the icing on a great deal. Rock Solid, no Gitzo price-tag, By trenchmonkey "trenchmonkey" (Peralta, NM USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: BENRO C-358M8 Carbon Tripod (Electronics) I roll with a couple of Berlebach's but wanted to try out some CF 'sticks'Very impressed with the fit and finish of this tripod. Great padded case fits my Photo Clam ballhead mounted. Can't believe the quality for the money spent. What a deal if you can take the heat on the name from your shootin' buddies that spent 3X this on their Gitzos. Rockin' on 1 yr in the field, so far so good. Thanks Amazon!! ;) I Don't Know Why Benro Tripods are Not Bigger Sellers, By Cowboy "RJ" (Nebraska) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: BENRO C-358M8 Carbon Tripod (Electronics) I've read that Benro is one of the top, if not the top, seller in Pacific Rim countries, and it's not hard to understand why. This is my second Benro. Removing the Wimberly head is just difficult enough that I decided to purchase a second one, and an extra tall, extra sturdy one at that. This tripod will be used to support my Nikon D3s and 600mm or 200-400mm Nikor lens, with the Wimberly permanently attached. I especially like the height of this unit, and being carbon fiber, it combines serious strenght and stability without requiring three men and a strong boy to lug it around. For some reason, mine has the flip-locks instead of the twist units, and though I prefer the latter, it's okay. If you're looking for a tripod, you can save some serious money with a Benro wihtout sacraficing any quality whatsoever. |
